Easy Care for Your Plush Pad®

Two layers of water resistant barriers protect any under surfaces from accidents.

On The Plush Pad®, you'll notice a fuzzy and soft material where the baby lays and also a second layer under that called Taslan (the case covering the memory foam); the first is water resistant and the second is water repellent.

The soft and fuzzy center panel is referred to as “Minkee.” Minkee made from a 50/50 blend of cotton/poly fabrics. The Polyester component is what gives this top center panel most of its water repellency. This is also an incredibly durable fabric.

Machine was and dry the cover much like a pillowcase whenever it needs cleaning.  How easy is that?

The Plush Pad is made of a few different fabric types, and both wash and wear well. Machine wash cold and dry the cover on low heat. It is very easy to care for, but it’s very important to remember to remove the memory foam cushion insert prior to washing. This can be done easily by simply unzipping the cover at the end and pulling out the insert much like a pillow case. Go through a similar process with the inner white cover when pulling out the memory foam cushion.

The soft and fuzzy center panel - Minkee made from a 50/50 blend of cotton/poly fabrics. Like all polyester fabrics, it is sensitive to a hot iron, so we suggest that you steer away from ironing this part of the product. Minkee is also wrinkle free, so ironing should be unnecessary.

The pattern cotton fabric is made from fine high thread count 100% cottons. It is also very durable and although the cotton is of a high thread count they are pre-shrunk and shrinkage from the initial washing is nominal. We do recommend that you wash it in cold water with colors for a long lasting color vibrancy. This cotton is iron friendly, but use low heat and no steam unless otherwise necessary for stubborn wrinkles.

The inner case covering the memory foam can be treated exactly the same way as the cotton we mentioned above.

Lastly, the memory foam pillow itself is the only part of the product that cannot be machine washed. If an “accident” happens to travel through the two upper layers of water resistant barriers (which will rarely, if ever, occur), you may spot clean the memory foam with Woolite or a similar product, blotting with a damp cloth. If you are still left with a problem, a new memory foam insert can be purchased separately through Ah Goo Baby’s online store).
